A Little About Wisconsin Fisherman
|
The Internet has been a part of our lives now for
more than a decade (Can you believe that?)
You can do just about anything online, from
shopping, to banking, to keeping in touch with
loved ones who live far away. It has simplified
our lives. It didn't take long to find great
websites devoted to fishing here in Wisconsin.
They offered fishing reports for certain bodies of
water, along with a vast array of other features.
There was one problem I had with these
websites, however. Not very much attention
was given to the Chippewa Valley, which I call
home. And try as I might, I just couldn't seem to
find many reports or other fishermen from my
area.
Help stop the spreading of unwanted aquatic plants in Wisconsin! Please remember to remove all algae and aquatic plants from you boat and trailer.

In January of 2005 I started messing around with Yahoo Geocities, an online
service with which you could build a website for free. It was easy, and I found
myself wanting to bring the site up to the next level. In late February I officially
launched grab-the.net (a play on the phrase "Grab the Net") Then in 2006 I found
the name Wisconsin Fisherman was still available, and I could not pass it up.
Now, Wisconsin Fisherman offers videos, photos, recipes, links to fishing guides,
and a staff that is more than happy to give you fishing tips.
Wisconsin Fisherman promotes ethics in angling, but also believes anyone
should be able to grab a meal of fish, if they so desire. We want you to teach your
children the great sport of fishing, to keep the Wisconsin tradition alive and strong.
Most of all, we want everyone to be able to enjoy our great outdoors for
generations to come.
Thank You for visiting Wisconsin Fisherman, I hope you want to make it your first
source for fishing on the internet.
